As a WelcomeHome user, you can add an extra layer of security for your login designed to ensure that you are the only person who can access your account.
1. Click on your name in the top right corner of the Overview screen. Select "Profile" from the drop-down menu that appears.
2. Once in your Profile, click on the "Security" tab on the left hand side of the screen.
3. You will first need to install an authenticator app on your phone:

Authy (WelcomeHome recommended): Once downloaded via your app/google play store, you will add your phone number. It will then ask you to add your email address and verify your account. Then you will be able to scan the QR code and enter the necessary code.

Google Authenticator (Android , iPhone/iPad ): Once downloaded via your app/google play store, you will log in via your email. From there you will click 'Add a code', where you scan the QR code to then enter the key.

Microsoft Authenticator: Once downloaded (if not already) via your app/google play store, open authenticator on your mobile device. Select the Plus icon + on the top menu bar. In the Add account page, choose Other account. Scan the QR code shown on the WelcomeHome sign in page. *Note: If you already have an existing account with the same name as the new account, you can rename the new account.
- If you are having trouble with one of these apps, we recommend trying the other.
4. Once you have the app installed, click the green "Enable" button. You will next be prompted to confirm your current WelcomeHome password by typing it into the provided field.
5. Once you have confirmed your password and clicked "Next", you will be asked to scan the QR code provided. This is the QR code that will be scanned using your Authenticator app.
NOTE* DO NOT SCAN BELOW* Image below is a sample screenshot. The workflow will generate a QR code for you to scan.
You have to scan this code in the authenticator app. If you just scan the code with your camera, it will not setup the authentication. When you open your app, you'll have the option to scan the code and create a WelcomeHome profile that will generate login codes for you.
Below are instructions for how to add accounts for the recommended authenticator apps:
6. Once you have your 6-digit code, enter it into the "Authentication code" field under the QR code scanner (shown above) on your computer and click "Next".
7. When you select the checkbox "Remember this device?", you can remain logged in for 30 days. It will automatically log you out after that time period and a new code will need to be entered upon sign in.
8. Your two-factor authentication is now successfully set-up. You have the option to disable this feature at any time by clicking the red "Disable" button.
Important Notes: You must keep the app downloaded on your phone in case you ever need to reference it. If deleted, you will be locked out of your account and will have to elevate to your Admin team to regain access!
