If you have a duplicate lead in WelcomeHome, you can merge the two to create one singular record.
1. Search for one of the prospect records you would like to merge (either prospect record will be fine to start with as long as you know which one you would like to merge into the other).
*Note- when merging two leads, you will need to select which lead is the "primary", meaning, that is the record you want to keep. Once the two leads are merged, the "secondary" lead will be soft-deleted and the "primary" lead will be the one that stays in the system.
*You will not be able to merge duplicates if they have a different first or last name. The names must match in order to do this.
2. In the top right corner of the prospect record, click "merge."
3. Search for the prospect that you would like to merge with the current selected prospect and click "next"
4. Select which record to set as the "primary record". Remember- whichever lead is selected as the "secondary record" will be soft-deleted after the merge.
*Best practice for selecting the primary: choose the record with the most comprehensive information. You can also use the "accepted on" date to choose the oldest record.
5. Once you've selected which record is the primary record, click "merge". You'll see a confirmation screen and you can click "done."
6. An activity is added to the primary record showing the merge. If you ever need to refer back to the prospect record that was merged, you can do so by clicking on the link within the merge activity.
