All prospects start their journey in WelcomeHome at the first stage, typically called "Inquiry". . Once the prospect has advanced through the stages to the deposit stage, they are ready to be moved in.
(*Note: Stage names are customizable by operators, meaning users may see slightly different names for stages)
From the Unit & Deposit tab, the user can edit/add the move-in date, unit information, deposit information, etc. Make sure to click "Update" when you're done!
Your Unit & Deposit tab may be separated and look differently than what is shown in the below screenshot(s). If that is the case, please click the link here to understand the Unit, Deposit & Refunds workflow.
Second Residents
If you are moving in a couple into the same unit, make sure the "2nd Resident" tab is filled out before updating the "Unit & Deposit" tab. You will then see two residents populate under the Residents section on the unit and deposit tab. Make sure the checkbox is checked next to each resident before updating.
*Note: After the move-in date and any second residents are added to the prospect profile, WelcomeHome will automatically advance the prospect to the move-in stage, once the move-in date passes.
Second Residents: A Special Privacy Level, The "2nd" Toggle
Some, not all, communities will have this special privacy level in the unit and deposit tab. This feature will show a "2nd" button that can be toggled on or off.
This "2nd" toggle button allows an individual resident the ability to move into an already occupied unit and will be counted as a second resident to the original unit owner.
*Note: This only applies to an individual resident. If your prospect profile includes two people, you will follow the instructions of the Second Residents section.
