If you have two individuals on a prospect profile but want them to have separate housing contracts, WelcomeHome allows you to separate the second resident out. To do this:
1. Go to the Unit tab or the Unit & Deposit tab (depending on your account set up) on the Prospect profile.
2. Check off the names of both residents and click "Update."
Your Unit & Deposit tab may be separated and look differently than what is shown in the below screenshot(s). If that is the case, please click the link here to understand the Unit, Deposit & Refunds workflow.
3. Once you've updated, a button will appear to "Separate Second Resident."
4. Clicking "Separate Second Resident" will give both individuals their own housing contracts. From here, you can now move or transfer them independently of each other but have that information linked back to a single prospect profile. You can also edit their housing contracts if the unit or dates need to be adjusted by clicking on the three dots on the top right-hand side of their contract.
In the example below, the "Separate Second Resident" button allowed us to make Brian the primary and Susan the secondary with the 'S' appearing after the unit number.
