RealPage is an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) billing system that your operator can use to share resident information with WelcomeHome. The information shared will be related to their resident information and status, which can be grouped in three categories of Admissions, Discharges and Transfers (ADTs). Once integrated, information will flow bi-directionally between RealPage and WelcomeHome.
Syncing & Making Changes with RealPage
As discussed in the EMR Overview article, you can sync a prospect to RealPage only once. WelcomeHome requires the first name to sync, but we recommend adding in as much information as you can and waiting until the move-in details are confirmed before syncing. This is important to keep in mind when you have multiple people on one profile. If you sync an individual, then go in and add a partner or spouse, you will not be able to sync again to include that person. Again, it is best practice to wait until you have all the information confirmed for all parties before you sync.
You'll want to make all changes in RealPage after syncing and allow that information to push over to WelcomeHome. All ADT events created in RealPage will update in WelcomeHome during the nightly sync around 10pm.
Once an individual is synced, you'll be able to view information sent over from RealPage by going to their Resident Profile and clicking on RealPage History. Here, you'll see all the unit change information WelcomeHome has received and reflected in the occupancy board. This is a great place to check for any discrepancies on someone not appearing how you'd expect them to in WelcomeHome.
You can also find the most current RealPage information in the Resident Settings section on the Resident profile. going to their Resident Profile and clicking on Resident Settings. From there, you'll see their RealPage resident ID and site ID, last sync date and time and a link to View RealPage Resident Data.
Finding a resident
When a resident is initially synced, a resident profile will populate in RealPage where all ongoing changes need to be made. The new resident can be found in the Prospects section of OneSite. This is where you'll enter in all the ADT information for the resident, which will then get pushed over to WelcomeHome at the nightly sync.
Each resident will also have a RealPage code that is used to share the information from RealPage with WelcomeHome. Once synced, make sure you are making all updates to the resident ID code that matches the one in WelcomeHome. If you create a new profile for the resident, the changes will not push over and a duplicate resident profile will populate in the Resolution Center.
