Yardi is an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) billing system that your operator can use to share resident information with WelcomeHome. The information shared will be historical updates related to their resident information and status. Once integrated, information will flow bi-directionally between Yardi and WelcomeHome.
Syncing & Making Changes with Yardi
As discussed in the EMR Overview article, you can sync a prospect to Yardi only once. WelcomeHome requires the move-in date and unit number to sync, but we recommend adding in as much information as you can and waiting until the move-in details are confirmed before syncing. This is important to keep in mind when you have multiple people on one profile. If you sync an individual, then go in and add a partner or spouse, you will not be able to sync again to include that person. Again, it is best practice to wait until you have all the move-in information confirmed for all parties before you sync.
You'll then want to make all changes in Yardi and allow that information to push over to WelcomeHome during the nightly occupancy sync. This will be when WelcomeHome updates to reflect any changes made to the resident information or housing contracts in Yardi that day.
Once an individual is synced, you'll be able to view their current status in Yardi from WelcomeHome by going to their Resident Profile and clicking on Resident Settings. From there, you'll see their Yardi code, last sync date and time and a link to View Yardi Resident Data. This is a great place to check for any discrepancies on someone not appearing how you'd expect them to in WelcomeHome.
Finding a resident
When a resident is initially synced, a resident profile will populate in Yardi where all ongoing changes need to be made. You will find these new profiles in the Future or Waitlist tabs within Yardi. Residents will show in the community's Waitlisted section only if there is a Waitlist Unit in WelcomeHome. If there is not a Waitlist Unit in WelcomeHome, all residents will show up in the Future section.
Each resident will also have a Yardi code that is used to share the information from Yardi with WelcomeHome. Our Support team is able to update this code for you if they don't match due to an additional profile being created in Yardi. If the codes do not match, the changes will not push over and a duplicate resident profile will populate in the Resolution Center. To update this, you'll contact our team and provide the correct code for us to change. You can find this by going to their resident profile page in Yardi and providing us the ID listed in your browser's URL bar.
